Why does this matter to America?
Foreign aid is a critical component of American democracy, diplomacy, and defense. It is directly tied to the health of our national economy, the wellbeing of our states, and the future of our security. Though challenges around the world are vast and complex, we believe they can be overcome with American leadership and values. America should be the primary ally and partner of choice around the world. According to a public poll from last year, 8 in 10 voters agree that the U.S. should play a leading or major role on the global stage.
