A 24-year-old woman and her 4-year-old son arrived at Sacred Heart after going through the U.S. Border Patrol Processing Center on July 31, 2014 after a month long joinery from El Salvador. At Sacred Heart they received food, clean clothes, new shoes, a shower, and a place to rest while they waited to catch the bus that would take them to Houston. There they will reunite with her aunt until their hearing date in immigration court.
